Integrated UV Protection

UV protection of the LIEBEVUE® COLOURS Moist Optima contact lenses

Exposure to UV radiation is a known factor that can harm the eyes. To help reduce solar UV exposure to the covered cornea, our LIEBEVUE coloured contact lenses (Tetrafilcon A, 43% water content) feature an integrated UV blocker within the lens polymer across all colours and patterns. The material physically attenuates solar ultraviolet radiation across the covered cornea and limbal region.

• UV-B Protection (280–315 nm): Blocks up to 99.9% of UV-B radiation (testing demonstrates 96.6%–99.9% blocking efficiency across diopter ranges).

• UV-A Protection (315–380 nm): Blocks up to 85.8% of UV-A radiation (testing demonstrates 71.7%–85.8% blocking efficiency across diopter ranges).

Verified Performance Standard
Tests performed by an independent, accredited laboratory confirm compliance with Class 2 UV-blocking specifications under ISO 18369-3 for both corrective and non-corrective coloured contact lenses.
